How effective websites are scored
Every scorecard opens with three scores, out of ten each. Beside every score sits the thing we observed and the date we looked. The scores are our judgement. The observations are facts you can check yourself.
One client's result
We are not going to name the client, because we do not use a client's name without asking them first, and you would want the same from us.
A transport company had five pages on its website that were all nearly the same, and all of them were chasing the same search. Google could not decide which one to show, so it kept swapping between them and none of them ever settled anywhere good. We pointed all five at one page and gave that page proper headings.
Its main search moved from second to first, and it has read first on every check since, ten dated checks, most recently on 25 August 2026. Measured in the browser on google.co.za from a South African connection, with the date written next to every reading.
One term, one client. We are not going to tell you that is typical, because we do not know that yet. When we have enough clients to say something honest about what usually happens, we will say it here, and if the honest answer is unflattering we will say that instead.
How to check any of this yourself
The search positions.
Open google.co.za on your own phone, on your own data, and type the search. Not on our laptop and not on ours in the office. If you are on wifi in a different province you will see something different, and that is worth knowing too.
The speed readings.
Google's own PageSpeed tool is free and public. Put in any address and it gives you a number out of 100. Run it on us.
The listing numbers.
Search the business name. The rating and the review count are on the panel that comes up, and they are read from the listing itself, not from a page that mentions it.
The dates.
Every claim we give you carries the date it was checked. If a date is more than a few days old, ask us to check it again, and we will.
